Community Involvement

At Bromagen, Rathet, Klee, & Smith, P.A., not only are we dedicated to giving the most professional legal service possible, but we are also committed to giving back to our community. The firm has been dedicated to providing community service and encourages its employees to give back to the community. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Florida: Community organization established in 1915 to encourage the development of the emotional, social, educational, and physical well being of children through one-to-one mentoring relationships between adult volunteers and at risk children. http://www.bbbsjax.org/

Compassion International: A Christian child advocacy ministry helping over 1 million children worldwide escape from spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty, and enabling them to become responsible and fulfilled Christian adults. http://www.compassion.com/default.htm

PEARR: Professionals Educating & Advocating Respect in Relationships is the professional auxiliary section of Women’s In Distress of Broward County. PEARR is an organization committed to advocate for respect within relationships and to end dating/domestic violence. http://www.pearr.org/

Special Olympics: Organization providing year-round sports training and athletic competition to more than 2.5 million people with intellectual disabilities in more than 180 countries. http://www.specialolympics.org

University of North Florida’s Pre-Law Advisory Board: Organization who’s mission is to enhance the preparation of the undergraduate student interested in pursuing law school and entrance into the legal profession or a law-related career. http://www.unf.edu/coas/polsci-pubadmin/Pre-Law/index.html

Brooks Rathet has trained to and is representing children in dependency through Florida's attorney ad litem program. All children subject to court proceedings in Florida involving allegations of child abuse and neglect may have legal representation as long as the court jurisdiction continues. The attorney ad litem provides this representation. A lawyer who provides legal services for a child owes the same duties of undivided loyalty, confidentiality, and zealous representation to the child as is due an adult client.
